How complicated could it be?

expensive or not, if you’re going to do it, do it right.

Unless you replace the entire unit with a properly designed unit like these ridiculously expensive GE models.

Sort of, the internal cutoff plate and bowl shape are different for HID projectors. They also can have different glass, some have dimples on them to throw the light in different directions. With an HID swap you do not want this, as it will cause glare.

it doesn’t matter. a parabolic reflector has a “focal point,” and the light source needs to be in that focal point* to work properly. Otherwise the light will be diffracted and coverage will be uneven (think cheap old flashlight.)

the problem with those is that so many aftermarket LED tail lamp replacements are cheap pieces of shit which don’t align anything properly with the reflector. So your tail/brake lights end up being this useless dot.

sorry, man, you should never change the type of light source in your headlamps. The light “kernel” needs to be in the proper location for it to work effectively with the reflector. If you have halogen headlamps, the only things that should go in there are halogen bulbs. Not LEDs, not HID capsules.

This is true. Outlaw LED lights completely. They serve no purpose

LED tail lights/brake lights can be blinding in close traffic; it sucks sitting behind them at night and having them light up with every press of the brake pedal.

I have no idea why, but I can’t stand those Harley double headlights.

Gotta agree. I would have said something along the lines of:

In teal. Teal is the ‘90s. The most ‘90s car of the ‘90s has to be teal.

beats me. First thing I do when I get into an unfamiliar car like a rental is press all the buttons and see what they do and why they exist.

one day I was driving on a foggy day and some bozo was driving without headlights on. I was struggling to see him. Eventually I pulled up to him to tell him to turn headlights on. His reponse was it’s not my car. I don’t know how. I identified the car as altima and told him the headlight is turned on by twisting the

It’s entirely possible that the person who talked to at Waterloo Honda had no idea what they were talking about, and that it’s part of that dealership’s lost history. I mean,

One of the messages could be “Sorry, my bad!” for when a driver inadvertently screws up and want to defuse road rage in the other driver.

Americans lost trust with the system when it failed to demonstrate that it knew the difference between a door and a jar, so we haven’t had them installed since.

Because nothing is safer than taking people who attempt to eat, apply makeup, talk on the phone and drive at the same time and having them attempt to eat, apply makeup, talk on the phone and operate two additional mechanical devices while driving, right? And before you say “Well, they wouldn’t because you just have to

I hope one day someone other than true car enthusiasts will see the safety benefits of this device here. Before you all tell me that manual has already thought of by engineers, my point is that it was never thought (yet) as a safety device.
