I’m trying to see this your way, but can you elaborate on what stands to be lost in a Bernie White House?
“The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who, in times of great moral crisis, maintain their neutrality.”
What kind of voodoo got that shit all over my facebook today?? None of my friends shared it and yet it came up like a half-dozen times while scrolling.
Yeah, not to mention I smell a huge whiff of 1990's nostalgia/fetishism in the Hillary camp. As if Bill’s presidency is something for current democrats to aspire to...
I get the sense that you’re trying to say something but I really cannot grasp what it is.
Ooh I really like that take. There’s also the aspect that Jessica is her case, so instead of the traditional detective thing where they take a few disparate mysteries and link them together to get a bigger picture, everything always just leads back to Killgrave’s obsession with her. She is both the most competent and…
Ooooh just thought of another one: Jackie Chan. For one of film’s most renowned martial arts badasses, dude gets beat up a lot. Definitely part of his charm.
Great post. I thought this was a detective/film noir trope... The “hero who gets his ass kicked constantly but nonetheless comes out on top thanks to his wits?”Favorite examples off the top of my head:
And a hearty craft beer right back atcha. ^_^
As a native 802er myself [cheers a glass of maple syrup] I completely share your concerns. Honestly I think there are a few things at play, none of which are particularly Bernie’s fault.
Woah, me and Hamno are on the exact same page with this one... weird.
Props for calling them macdougals. That’s the good stuff.
Ding ding ding!
I’m gonna make a burner so I can star this again.
Oooh, wonder if this is an intentional callback to that Knightfall cover? This was always one of my favorites...
If you want a better-articulated reason to dislike MoS, both Film Crit Hulk and Mark Waid have provided some pretty nuanced criticisms (and praise). Whiny comic-purists certainly exist, but they do not exactly speak to the very real problems people had with that movie.
I’ve been a Marvel zombie pretty much my whole life, and I still have a ton of fondness for them, so I never would’ve anticipated that two of my favorite shows on tv in 2016 would be The Flash and Supergirl.
Well THAT sucks. I actually finally started enjoying this game recently. Weird 30/60 fps jumps and everything. I was even just looking last night on the steam page to find where I could preorder the new characters.
Emma Watson? No?
