So, one of your constant, ongoing beefs with MLS is that it’s a league of mediocre talent and over-the-hill stars looking for one last payday (which is true), but as soon as they acquire a truly gifted player in his prime, your answer is... send him back? Jesus, Billy, you’re so far up your own ass with this MLS hate…
I will always champion those who break the unwritten rules of baseball, because the unwritten rules of baseball are all, 100%, yes even your favorite one, fucking stupid.
Take that Brian McCann you fat fuck.
The baby will probably have a bruise on their head, but it could have been much worse. Thank God the fans were only throwing light beer cans.
Chase Utley is also turning baseball into football.
He didn’t start to slide until he was nearly past the base. People can say he was ‘playing hard,’ ‘gritty’ or ‘tough’ all they want, but Utley did not make one ounce of effort to actually touch the base. He was on a mission to send Tejada flying to prevent the DP. Mattingly playing the hand of New York Media…
When you put up the guise of actually trying to slide into second base, that’s fine.
That WILL be the rest of the series.
I’d like a more simple rule: If a runner slides into 2nd or 3rd base in such a way that it is impossible for the runner to stop at that base, and if they make contact with the fielder, then the runner is automatically out.

You guys are much more expert than me, but Trainspotting is the fucking balls. What puzzles me though is this - you say, “It doesn’t feel as revolutionary or original as it did back in 1996”.
He’s looking for a valiumt effort from Hasselbeck.

If you’re ESPN, why be forced to set your programming lineup months in advance and not be able to change? That sort of kills the excitement of how sports starts anew each morning. They can make real money depending on how the ratings go up and down. Let them go day-by-day.
My daily fantasy consists of both of these companies going away.
Getting paid over $100,000 a year to make Ryan Tannehill cry? I’m sure they are enjoying that practice squad paycheck thoroughly.
“We’ve been calling for them to send him to Double-A all year”
