My query on the last post went unanswered, but I now have no doubt that this is THE Mister Baseball I followed on twitter before he became the River King.

As a scrawny guy, I asked an ex-Marine regular at my bar for pointers in the event I had to do time. The elbow strike was his main piece of advice. He also said a good stomp to the top of the feet can easily break a bone. And if they have size on you try to take the fight to the ground.
I was going to try to be witty by replying with a picture of Fox doing right. Twenty minutes on Google and I got absolutely nothing.
Something related to CC’s alcohol problem, I don’t know. 2/10 execution
I had a friend whose step dad was a school officer by choice. They mostly sat around and did nothing and were paid time and a half or something like that.
Is this the same Mister Baseball that had that awesome twitter account a couple months back?
Bring the DH to the National League.
Yeah that word “portion” is bugging me.
Hindsight is 20/20 but I’d do my best to not even put the game in their hands. So no punt
Why didn’t they run a bootleg, let the QB scramble for a bit, and then throw it straight up in the air? I think the possibility of a punt return is high enough to not try punting it with one play and nine seconds to burn.
As a complete layman to this discussion, I’d say that I agree NASA isn’t what is was during the Apollo era in terms of nationwide fascination and support. But I think the post-Columbia apprehension is fading and general support for NASA is increasing, especially with the recent fly-by of Pluto. Although, if any of the…
Fantastic post you linked to. Reminds me of the high baseball practices where we would practice outlandish home run trots or pantomime firing arm cannons after good throws. I thought it was fun to do the Kirk Gibson fist pumping after hitting bloop singles in scrimmages. Professional sports are still games, everyone…
Little kids are drawn to swinging objects like bugs to a light. I clocked my baby sister in the head when she ran right into the follow through of a wiffle ball bat swing. Also sprained my knee trying to stop my momentum on a swing before I barreled into her running aimlessly into my path.
It’s new territory for us younger Cubs fans. Plus up until this year I’ve had Sox fan friends ceaselessly reminding me which Chicago team last won a World Series anytime I expressed optimism about the Cubbies.
Jonah Hill seemed like he knew what he was talking about though
It’d be negative attention for the NFL, not breast cancer awareness.
Look man I agree speed limits aren’t up to the current standards of technology, but these kids were being reckless (speed, regardless of sobriety). An experienced driver would have been fine, but most teens and young adults think they’re better than they are.
He mentions driving too fast and too recklessly. This has nothing to do with driving impaired and this still has nothing to do with whether speed limits are too low.
I haven’t seen anyone arguing about speed limits in regards to this video, and I don’t think this is the forum for that argument.
In the all hoopla surrounding the slide, no one is mentioning that Utley very likely suffered a concussion during the play. I believe MLB policy is a player has to be cleared and then the team has to submit a form before returning to play. Very Goodell-ian to try and brush concussions under the rug.
