Again, the problem with this "quick and easy" method is: it's already quicker and easier to just throw oatmeal (and 2x as much water) in a bowl and microwave for 3:00.
It doesn't actually last forever. It has a clearly printed expiration label, and after that it turns into this greyish half-translucent sludge that smells awful.
Yeah, that seems a lot easier than having a tiny, narrow gap through which to fit your mouse, just to reach the other monitor. What are you more likely to do at any given moment; use Aero snap, or move your mouse across monitors?

Steam does it, and it has worked very well. Why not expand it out to all applications, not just games?
@chevalier_slv: I had assumed that I could read a lifehacker article without having to slog through someone's self-righteous overly-indignant bullshit.
This article says that it only works for the physically fit, because fatigue will counteract the benefits.
@dmtofree: Ha, yeah; I went to UM - Go Blue, indeed. The above comment was just a Lost reference.
This study was done at the UofM Ann Arbor? ...was it done by the "Department of Heuristics and Research on Material Applications" initiative?
