I moved here after traveling here for work for a summer a decade ago and really have no intention of moving back north. There’s a lot of neat shit in Texas and I’ll take insane summers over many months of winter dreariness.

It’s also fucking huge, so trying to say “Texas is like this:” is exactly as futile as comparing all Americans to the cast of Jersey Shore. Where I’m at it’s a minimum 4 hour drive to get out of Texas, and the closest state is Mexico.
