Sex is definitely on the spectrum. There are at least 7 criteria for determining sex: chromosomal sex, gonadal tissue (ovaries or testes), hormonal sex (estrogen & testosterone), internal reproductive organs (uterus or prostate), external genitals (clitoris, vulva, vagina or penis & scrotum), assigned sex & sex of

Yeah, Sanders has a great record on healthcare and Wall Street regulation, and if those are your primary voting concerns, he is a great candidate for you. But he also has a mixed record on plenty of other things—gun control and immigration and criminal justice, to start—and there are other candidates who have been

Bernie has fought for progressive causes all his life.  Terrific.  Let him continue to do so from the Senate.  Or as an elder statesman in the private sector.  He shouldn’t be the Democratic Party candidate for president.

This article makes me feel like if I’m not supporting him then it must be because I just don’t “like” the guy. I’m not supporting him for the DEM2020 Primary for a whole bunch of reasons and “likability” is not one of them.

This could also be uterus didelphys with a vaginal septum as well. It’s underdiagnosed and this is one of the few symptoms that some folks have, pain with tampon insertion and tampons “leaking”. I thought for years that I just was using tampons incorrectly and that’s why it hurt and didn’t actually catch all the

I’m getting an MRI at the moment bc I can’t even get the vaginal ultrasound test for endo due to pelvic pain/vaginismus. And it took me years to get this bc the other doctors just said “well you’re already on the pill and we can’t do the ultrasound”

My sister had no idea that some of her pain issues with tampons was related to her endo - literally no doctor had ever mentioned, and she seriously figured there was just something either mentally or physically wrong with her, and impacted issues with intimacy for ages.

Me too! (Except, y’know, public healthcare, so no expense.) It was a bitch to recover from and the answer was “you have all the symptoms for no reason ¯\_(ツ)_/¯”.

Ugh, I’m sorry. I only ended up getting surgery scheduled after my endo got to the point where I had continuous back pain from the massive ovarian cysts (found via ultrasound) the endo caused. It does suck that it has to take an extreme amount of pain and loss of quality of life before something can be done about

But here’s the rub- if your Endo is moderate to serious, you often CAN’T USE TAMPONS. Insertion is too painful and sometimes physically impossible from the pain triggering pelvic spasms.

I have brought up endo to my doctors before and they all cautioned me against the exploratory laproscopic surgery because I already have scar tissue left over from a different surgery from infancy - and they assumed it would all just make it worse. Which is so cool. So glad I don’t get to know what’s happening in my

Let me clarify something here: “inserting a camera into the pelvic cavity” means having laparoscopic surgery. Currently, the only definitive way to diagnose endometriosis is to see it - to undergo surgery. A presumptive diagnosis is made purely on the patient’s report of pain and other symptoms. Painful periods, heavy

We desperately need more and better ways to screen for and diagnose endo. But from what’s presented here, this doesn’t seem to be it. There doesn’t seem to be an actual test for endometriosis. Instead, there is a patent for a device that wrings out tampons, which raises the question: why not just use a menstrual cup

Me too, because I’d wonder if the dude actually knew me. Like if we’re at a game and the scoreboard lights up “Marry Me CousinPam,” I’m saying no and we’re breaking up because that is my nightmare. I’ve said this in relationships before so if a dude did it, he either didn’t listen or didn’t care, and neither is good.

Mr. Bells texted me from work and said “You want to get lunch and go ring shopping?” I picked a ring. He bought it.

A stunt like this would have me rethinking my relationship, and not in a “together forever” way.

When I saw "Florida Man" I just assumed that he organised for himself to be the defendant. Or maybe his fiancee.

It can help for people with gender-neutral names when someone with the same name is on the no fly list (speaking from experience).

No-fly lists. They started asking for gender and birth date right around when the number of people on no-fly lists became more than like, 100 (Thanks TSA! /s).

This is great but it beckons the question why are airlines ticketing based on gender in the first place?
