How is it tacky?
In you avoidance of tackiness, you have become a flaming douche. Congratulations.
Arguing over etiquette on the internet is pretty tacky.
Dude...seriously. I’m telling you that it’s a cultural difference. Literally no one in the part of the world I live in splits checks that way. You only think it’s “tacky” and “childish” because you’re used to doing things differently. I don’t care about the extra 3 dollars or 3 euros or whatever. But it’s SO much…
It’s not a question of bitching or being childish. People just don’t split checks evenly here. It’s not even an option that people consider. Everyone just pays for what they ate/drank and that’s what the restaurants here expect to happen. The server at some point asks, “Together or separate?” and if you say…
Which one of these gifs is the big joker?
You “The Big Joker is the Guarantee Joker” nyuckas is wrong, wrong wrong. The Big Joker is the BIG. JOKER.
How do I reach these keeeeeeeds?
The point is UNLICENSED working in a salon. It’s not a racial issue. There are alot of other important reasons why you should go to school, Sanitization, sterilization, proper haircare, and tension placed on hair to name a few. I have been licensed for 30 years and have had MANY clients come to me for treatments for…
The best part is the look on George Harrison’s son’s face. All the older guys on stage seem strangely unmoved by Prince’s supernatural abilities, but that kid looks like he just discovered Santa coming down his chimney.
Speaking as an “old”, I concur that everything used to be better. That is, if you were a fan of measles, chicken pox, polio, cars that lasted about three years before they fell apart (and were death traps if in a collision), polluted waterways, soot laden air if you lived in or near an industrial city, “fair trade”…
I’m with the state on this one. Instead of racking up $16k worth of fines she just should’ve gotten licensed. I work in the hair industry....we make money. It’s really a sanitation issue.
Ehh... had I not known someone who contracted lice after getting her weave installed in someone’s home I’d be for getting rid of the license requirements. But: people are nasty and requiring classes on implement sanitation and best practices is not a bad thing - though it’s fucked up that so few places provide…
forget chemicals, you cant cut hair period without a license, and in some cases you cant even do free haircuts without catching heat. https://reason.com/blog/2017/02/14/cosmetology-board-investigates-student-f
I was pretty shocked as a college student when my aunt and uncle had me meet them at a local tavern for dinner, with their elementary-aged kids in tow. But it was really kind of ideal - they were essentially just a restaurant that served craft beer. They had lots of food that appealed to kids (burgers, fries, chicken,…
The easy way to tell the difference is the presence of windows. If the place is light and bright, then it is a family oriented place (like a pub), if it is dark, where one is supposed to hide their shame then probably not family focused.
If it’s a tavern (serves food as more than an afterthought) I’d say it’s fine. What’s the real difference here between a restaurant that serves alcohol and a bar that serves food? I’ve worked at both and I don’t have any problem with a kid being there, provided he/she is well behaved. The real question is “Are you…
This is a bummer. There’s a lot of stuff here that you can’t get elsewhere, and for things like Christmas and birthdays it’s nice to have it all in one spot. Also contrary to popular belief sometimes TRU is even cheaper than Amazon or Wal-Mart.
