It just so happened that at 9:00am ET yesterday, I was browsing the [Mozilla.org] FTP server when the RC1 code was posted, so I think I've been running it just about as long as anyone can be.

Another great way to stay on top of Firefox development work is to subscribe to the official team calendar.
What about wget? :-)
Boy, is that one ugly interface. Good concept, not so hot on the implementation. Strike that, it does what it advertises, it's just ugly!!!
Great. But who the heck has sugar cubes anymore?
My Palm synchronizes with everything. See, I put a pen in my Palm, and then I manipulate the pen with my Palm in order to record things like names, phone numbers, addresses, etc. The Palm is a neat invention, especicially when used in conjunction with my Fingers (TM).
I think the first thing I'd do is consolidate on a one-browser strategy. You know, AOL ran with the IE engine for years, then they had a Netscape relationship, and as far as I know there's a little of both still hanging around. I'd rework the AOL client to be a Gecko-based technology in order to take advantage of…
Hey, my company is migrating to Windows XP SP2 this October. So I predict we'll get to deploying Vista oh, say, December 2008 at the earliest.
You know, I answered my own question. I love the Internets!!! Has any Lifehacker here used OmniGaffle or ConceptDraw at all?
Does anyone know if there is a way to run Microsoft Visio or a Visio-like competitor on a Mac? That is truly the only thing holding me back (from switching to a Mac)...
I'd have to say that Password Corral is my favorite of all time. It's a great secure password manager that allows you to export a new encrypted copy of your passwords each time they change. Combined with a quick 'n dirty xcopy script I've written for backups, I use Password Corral to save all kinds of information…

Barron posted, "Which brings me to a question I'd like to pose to the rest of you Lifehackers - are there any problems with the two OS's reading/writing to the same data due to file formatting?"
Hell, this morning I had several e-mails, 2 IM group chats, 1 landline phone conference and a mobile phone call going at the same time...
I have an external drive called S:\, and this:
Well, I have to consider myself lucky. I accepted some word of mouth advice to find my current mechanic. This guy is unreal. I can't tell you the number of times I had what appeared to be a serious problem that my guy fixed for less than 20 bucks.
Groovy idea! I do the same thing. To get around the name "Firefox", I just renamed that application to be "Internet" so I can still use my Win+I shortcut.
Seems to me that Lifehacker readers are more security and privacy conscious than your average Internet user. So I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the privacy issues related to using a wireless mobile phone.
I did make the switch to Ubuntu 6.06LTS, and successfully pissed off my wife who could no longer look at her MS-Visio files, and could not use our Canon PIXMA760 (multi-function printer) for any but the most rudimentary tasks.
This is an awesome tip for a minimalist desktop. I love it. However, as a heavy user of instant messaging, I have a general question.
