This has been an ongoing theme, people who voted for Trump will lose benefits. For some reason they thought Trump would provide for the white people while stripping support for brown and black people.

I think part of it is an effort to appear truly American. It’s kind of like internalized misogyny: by behaving like a “better” minority and attempting to be a model minority, they may believe that they’re both better than their peers and less likely to be impacted by legislation and cultural beliefs.

I posted this somewhere else, but I think it’s really applicable here:

Seriously. He and Bannon haven’t ever hid who they are!

So she is this tweet IRL?

I like the SEALS that weren’t killed. Sad.

I think a lot of stuff like this happened under Obama as well (maybe more drone strikes and fewer raids?). But I also think that it’s going to get far, far worse under Donald. He’s so concerned with seeming tough, and has so little capacity to make good careful decisions and so little concern for other people

This is awesome thanks for sharing.

O’Reilly is a pretty canny fucker, though. He knows that he’ll look better for pulling out his humanitarian Catholic “high road” card than doubling down on this dumpster fire ban.

Oh, I thought they were reasonable before all this happened. They barely spoke of politics before Trump’s win. I didn’t even think anyone here voted for him. I was blown away and shocked by it when they all suddenly felt like they could “speak their minds” and this was the result.

Dito. Yesterday my wife and I dismissed our New York trip which was planned for august. We are from Berlin Germany and the current events conjure a fear that is very elementary for us. I hope that something can be done to prevent chaos - legally.

Join the PCs and vote every far right authoritarian wingnut / opportunist running for leadership out of the party. membership $15 a year.

Serious question here.

I remember shopping with my wife years and years ago, before Trump went completely off the deep end. We were looking for some new dress shirts for me for a new job I’d just gotten and I came across the Trump line.

The one thing that Canada has that’s different from the U.S. is a third, non-joke party. I mean, the NDP has never actually won (edit: federally), but voting NDP is not throwing your vote away ala a Jill Stein type character (e:) and pretty powerful provincially. My hometown / a lot of my more distant relatives are

Or to your local public library, where they’ll probably put you on a waiting list for the book and email to tell you when it’s your turn.

I want to be ruffled at this, but nope. I have no right.

Fuck. I’m sorry. As a Californian, we have a foot in the same boat. I’m this close to uprooting and seeing if you would welcome a cake baker with no guns and only a few minor traffic tickets.

Yeah, sorry about that. Given the complete lack of control here it’s amazing when only 5 people are killed.
