Also, in a lot of later term abortion cases, the fetus is already dead, or will die immediately after birth. So she should die.... to make a point?
You’re absolutely right. There are a multitude of equally sad reasons people need to have late term abortions. My point was more that this is always a medical decision. The “pro-life” always imply this is something people are doing on a whim, because they changed their mind.
Does anyone know if there are sites who do roundups like this for Canadian Netflix? This would be incredibly useful, if it wasn’t about losing a bunch of movies we don’t have, getting a bunch of movies, we probably won’t get, and a bunch of comments complaining about the loss of things we still have for some reason.
That’s the one that really gets me. But all of those examples indicate to me someone who was either trying to get caught, or so buying into their own celebrity that they thought they we untouchable. Who asks someone something like that? Or brags to a reporter that they have sex with minors? Most pedophiles are…
I wish her a lifetime of constant, severe tinnitus.
My partner and I (although hetero) have also struggled with the weird social pressures to get married. We’ve been thinking of doing it, not because we particularly want to, but because I discovered that the law in our home, where we often visit, does not recognize the authority of common-law spouses to make medical…
Exactly. Who the fuck tries to evict an 85 year old man from the place he’s lived for 50 years? Just ostentatiously cruel.
I don’t believe in hell but sometimes, for people like Carole MeMaio, I wish it existed.
Once you’ve abandoned accuracy, you can go for simplicity in your explanations. “One day before birth” makes no sense, but compels the maximum amount of horror from people who don’t know any better.
They’re pretending late term abortion means waiting to full-term, inducing labor, and then stabbing the otherwise perfectly viable baby to kill it just before it crowns. Because opposing the reality of late term abortions (ie. it is typically a life-saving procedure) is pretty much impossible, so they resort to…
If abortion were actually the horror show that the Christian right pretend (actually believe?) it is, I would probably be against it, too. But I guess saying things like “I’m against surgical procedures that save women’s lives” doesn’t go down as well as imaginative and colorful depictions of late term abortions do.
As multiple people have now pointed out, Prince was an extremely talented guitarist and prolific composer. But also, in Madonna’s defense, even if she was equally musically talented as Prince, she probably still would have had to do exactly the same things she did (the focus on looks, sex, shock value, and novelty) to…
Their relationship seems a bit weird to me, too, if it’s any consolation. And I don’t really care if people call each other king and queen so long as it’s not immediately followed by the implication the king outranks the queen and can do whatever he wants, and she just needs to deal with it.
He has very clearly said, and repeatedly, that he will only accept the election results if he wins.
The purpose of the second amendment is ostensibly to allow people to take up arms against a tyrannical government. Trump has been whipping his heavily armed supporters into a frenzy, convincing them that Hillary Clinton is a tyrant who is attempting to undemocratically “steal” the election, with the help of a corrupt…
“The key is that I’m the king and every queen should support the king.”= Automatic grounds for divorce.
They are definitely not rich anymore. I occasionally Facebook stalk the lady, who has a crazy martyr complex and writes nutso rants about how the world has forsaken her and God will strike them all down. One of the big things that eventually took them down was she tried to rip off all of her siblings by re-writing her…
My great uncle was in the KKK during the prohibition era. He didn’t need to be removed from mainstream society, just medicated. Once doctors put him on lithium and he evened out, he decided for himself that he no longer had any interest in being in the clan.
Interesting you should quote the Bible, since those people were also, by far, the most loudly religious people on my paper route. They eventually had a complete meltdown, got bankrupted after being fined for tax sketchiness, and the wife writes screeds to the courts/on the Internet about how the judges who ruled…
