Well there you go. Even if you adjust for the marketing department’s rounding to tell a good story, you are right. It doesn’t align. Thanks for finding the answer to my question, Elizabeth.

I’ve been to the Grand Prix of Monaco—thanks to Army service stationing me in Germany so the trip there wasn’t a big deal. Regardless of what it costs, the Monaco Grand Prix is worth seeing at least once. And if the F1 head honchos want to make it easier for the locals to attend, that can only be a good thing.

oh god I don’t know what happened to the formatting of this comment, but the Reuters article I’m citing is below:

Women compose about 40 percent of the F1 audience, as per Reuters. So no, the 9-11 percent figure doesn’t really align with the audience.

So based on the numbers above, 9-11% of staff for the teams that reported are female. Honest question: Do you know how this compares with women who enjoy watching, participating, or following motorsports or automotive hobbies in some fashion? Because while ~10% is not diverse, is it aligned with interest in the field?

Speaking of loose bolts; if you happen to drive a 2002 Malibu and it happens to still have the original right rear brake assembly you may want to get it checked. I did a short 4 month stint at a factory assembling those for Chevy and I wasn’t exactly clean at the time.

Look how great this worked without damned slideshow.

Seriously, no more of that crap.

Cognizant won’t win anything, either.

Holy hell,Wes Siler. Long time no see man. Glad to hear from you again.

Great piece Patrick. I’ll refer back to this in the future.

Great stuff Elizabeth. Thanks for this and all the posts you’ve done on the subject.

Thank you so much!

Elizabeth, what an amazing story. Thank you so much for sharing something so intimate, yet universal, with us.

Because Pontiac was ditched before we started actually having useful discussions about appropriating the names of oppressed minority groups to sell products?

some people at a work place have access to jalop, but are blocked from sites such as twitter or any social media to keep production steady. i for one am grateful he posted this image. i mean...do we have to attack everyone for everything? dont answer that. its rhetorical really.

In case anyone wants to actually see the cool tires mentioned in the headline without going on a fucking goose chase:

Who pee’d in your Wheaties? Have you considered being, I don’t know...nicer?

Or they could, you know, do what everybody else has been doing for years

I know Sandy. I like Sandy. I have paid money to Sandy (on behalf of a corporation). That said, Sandy has drunk a Costco-size container of Tesla Kool-Aid in recent months. He nearly lost his company, too, but his new web / YouTube presence has helped keep him afloat.

I really appreciate your writing, but giving a crackpot former blogger from TTAC (of all places) the title of “Automotive Journalist” is a little much.
