That “lets just hold this puck until overtime” move was a huge blunder. He has a forward up either side if he just plays it up the boards and the Blues center is in the middle of a change. It’s not like he’s going to freeze the puck and get a whistle that way. All he accomplished was giving Bozak a chance to come from

If all the executives are getting arrested who is going to fly Maria back from China on the corporate jet?

Edmonton only had 5 shots when Perron scored the 4th goal. Even Jake Allen has a save percentage high enough to keep the Blues in the game at that rate!

The chemtrails post just made my day

But he’s had every coach since he was two yelling “TWO HANDS ON THE STICK!

The face masks on the helmets worn in the NCAA and in Women’s hockey are called “cages” even though most of them now look more like visors.

To your point, 2011 is the year that Kucherov fell to the end of round 2 and Tyler Johnson was signed undrafted. That has to be the low point for the league’s value of speed.

Even though 2011 was well into the “New NHL” era, the game has continued to change at an shocking rate. North/South speed and tactics are much more important than they were even 4 years ago, especially when your team has Connor Freaking McDavid.

I find it interesting to have this happening as the A’s go all out to sway Kyler Murray, allegedly with a big push from MLB. As more revenues are communalized, teams should push really hard to get exciting, talked about players into the league, even if they are playing for a competitor!

The Cubs wining the world series with rookie contracts and Rizzo on a hilariously low deal was the best story and the worst thing to happen to the MLB

I assume they did this right as Markkanen gets back to make to look smart when they are slightly less atrocious over the next few weeks.

Trust the (thought) process

Because of No Movement Clauses (Hjalmersson, Keith, and Seabrook) handed out by the GM, the Blackhawks actually couldn’t protect TVR in the expansion draft. They didn’t trade Hjalmersson until after the draft, and you could not expose players with NMCs.

What a flop

Most boring blown head gasket ever

It should also be noted that this suspension might not have happened if it happened to a bright young player that played for a team without such an excitable” fan base.  Perhaps the Florida Panthers?

Orlando Arcia is Brewer Eckstein, bring on the “clutch effort” takes

I believe this would make self employment your only option in Chicago

Matt Cooke was suspended 10 game plus an entire round of the playoffs. This escalation is pretty much in line with what we’ve seen in the past.

Another option is that certain skill sets that serve tennis players well in their early years do not correlate with skills that will cause them to win majors when they get to the top echelon of the sport.
