I thought for sure you were going to say you were cross shopping this with a the new Toyota/BMW joint venture, the C8 Corvette, or the F36 (making up a model number here) 3 Series, because at least two of those will probably all be our around the same time as this will be.

2nd Gear: How far into the hole did webvan go into the hole before... wait, nevermind.

Yes, but raising capital in public markets actually costs money instead of taking out a free loan from your customers. Biggest issue: if you burn your loyal customers by not delivering on time (or delivering a buggy flawed product) free money could become very costly.

If we’re going with “on sale today” I think a C7 in black has to be in the running:

Depending on when you consider the TARP funds deployed and paid back, the dollars paid back were either worth roughly the same or slightly less based off of inflation. That is part of my point: I think the US should have demanded a larger return.

Contrarian here: TARP was actually paid back, and while I would love nothing better to have seen some over leveraged bankers go down with their ship, they would have taken the whole country down with them. This isn’t because they are too big, it’s because some tiny fraction of what is in those institutions ensures

For the low low price of a $80-$125K car you get free wheels, tires, and storage!

Presumably the US-spec M4 also has the same 75lbs of stuff added on? So US-spec to US-spec M2 vs M4 is probably around the same 100lbs?

I have an irrational fixation with the fact that I could basically sell mine for what I paid for it (I had to pay over list for a 2 year old car with 12K miles on it!). I don’t know why, I’m not really looking to sell, so it’s only worth bragging rights. I figured prices would eventually drop, especially with the M2

Regardless of how you feel about GAS, I hope everyone understands what deflation means: everything you own is worth less and everything that you owe is more costly.

Nah, he’s gotta draft The Admiral as his running mate. Voters love the military connection.

Also, a problem: gasoline degrades, oxidizes and evaporates over time. Good storage can help, but you probably have an expiration date around early summer unless your tanker doubles as a time machine.

Thank god for Ben Bishop

“Come to the Cubs! We practically built a monument for a solo home run to go up by two in an NLDS game. If you stay in St. Louis you would actually have to win something in order to get that treatment!”

I believe most of the support was tax incentives (“we’ll give you money now and you pay us back in taxes over x number of years”), but I could be wrong. I’m more ok with that.

Except the city offered him the shitload! St. Louis was the only city of the three who actually put together a plan to build a new stadium and fund it, and did so at the drop of a hat.

Yeah, but I don’t recall LA coming up with a plan to build and finance a replacement for the colosseum in ‘94.

Or start rooting for another sport/league. I would rather start watching the tiddlywinks world championships that root for a team owned by one of these 32 clowns in a league run by Roger the Retarded Rabbit

I am certain he would relocate those shopping centers to Inglewood if they were as mobile as the Rams are.

Full disclosure: born and raised St. Louisan, relocated to Chicago some time ago. I am a Cardinals fan but not a Cardinals fan fan. I would tell you the difference between a Cards fan and a Rams fan, but I can’t say I know anyone who would identify as a Rams fans. I’m not even certain they exist anymore.
