No way on Long Kiss Goodnight. That film had some kick-ass action and Davis was superb. Her character was large and in charge.

Dude, The Long Kiss Goodnight is not only not bad, it is asskickingly awesome and funny. I’d have taken Geena Davis as Black Widow over ScarJo any old day.

I love this. Portishead is a perfect title song. The soundtrack would also need some Bitter:Sweet.
Thing is, Bigelow has the perfect chops to do a Black Widow movie. Military/spy stuff from Hurt Locker/ZDT, fun action and humor from Point Break, and you’ve got the perfect ingredients for Black Widow.
Tell me about it! When the first film you saw him playing a leading role had him doing a closeted gay English crime gang character, it throws you for a loop when you see him doing Bane or Mad Max and being described as a frightening hyper-masculine guy in magazine articles! He’ll always be Handsome Bob to me!
I’ll admit, this had me at Portishead.
It also made wanna see a series where Kraven the Hunter hunts the most dangerous game on the planet.

Jerry from Enemy Mine. Not only is the movie an excellent racial and cultural allegory, he in particular is such a well nuanced, principled, selfless warrior/parental figure with a wonderful sense of humor and one of the greatest fully realized portrayals of an alien character by any actor other than Leonard Nimoy.…
