I didn't hate the ending but I think it was a little too harsh. The folks in the Tail really got hosed.
I liked it quite a bit but the ending really left a bad taste. I got what they were going for but it really didn't work for most of the audience.
Every scene Viggo has in that movie is awesome. "God? God is love...I don't love you." And when he flips the script at the end, covered in angel blood and trying to tempt Virginia Madsen is just so chilling. "I love you. I love you more than JESUS!"
What show is that from?
The part where they try to catch the the Serbs that they thought were defiling the mass grave is nightmare fuel. The passage about the grave moving and shifting just gave me the chills.
Theodore Sturgeon's It! scared the heck out of me when I was a kid. So many similar swamp monsters were inspired by that story.
There was a deadfall just like the one in the book across the road from where I grew up. I was so damned glad when the farmer finally burned it and bulldozed what was left.
Duplicity does this too just not as well.
The stupid is so strong it burns.
I'm really enjoying The Crimson Campaign. I'm about a third of the way through and I'm trying to figure out how Tamas an Co. will survive.
And both characters are modernized takes on the older swamp monster the Heap.
Maybe some of them were leftover designs or alternate costumes from around the time when Cosmic Boy, Timber Wolf, Collosal Boy, Karate Kid and some of the others got new costumes.
I think they should take a page from Godzilla vs. Megaguirius. Have some sort of experiment open a rift into an another dimension, alternate or past Earth and let the monsters come forth.
That is such an underrated series. I loved the whole crew and kept hoping that Cole and Bunch would reunite and do more books. Sadly Chris Bunch died a few years back. It's a great series that I reread often.
The space dragon destroyer of worlds would like to have a word with the io9 staff.
I don't like the Kiryu movies for one reason: Godzilla is way too passive. I can see that being the case in the first encounter with Kiryu but after seeing what an abomination he was I wanted Godzilla to go into a killing rage. Humanity defiles the original Godzilla to make their creation and Godzilla just mostly…
I love Final Wars too. It's a big goofy love letter to the Showa era.
Right. It picks up after Godzilla Raids Again. I guess the glacier he was buried in calved and his iceberg drifted out to sea. Sucks for the guys on that sub that woke him up.
Heisei Mechagodzilla and M.O.G.U.E.R.A. were built using the reverse engineered future tech. That's what I assumed you meant.
