@Matt Hardigree: Thanks - I got everything cleared up this morning.

@two wheels are enough: Just logged out of Gizmodo (but I'm still logged into Jalopnik for some reason?) and did the password reset. I was not able to log in with the new password - got the "login failed" error.

According to the slate and gawkercheck.com checking tools, my account data was released (because I have an account at Gizmodo that I made long ago). However, my password was much longer than 8 characters - was it released in its entirety, in either encrypted or plain-text form?

@Ray Wert: So I just read the self-congratulatory post on [pastebin.com] by the person claiming responsibility for the hack. It seems like he has some serious anger for the whole Gawker network... It saddens me that you guys have to put up with this kind of crap to run a site about cars. I had no idea this was

@Ray Wert: Regardless, I think questions like "why is password change or recovery failing?" and "why does my password no longer work" should be at the top of the FAQ, not the bottom. I would think those would be more pressing issues for most people.

@Ray Wert: Maybe I should go back and read those FAQ's more carefully, but after glancing at them it seemed like you were changing passwords that had been compromised. I got the "password save failed" error when I tried to change my password and assumed that you had changed it without telling me.

In the future, if you suffer a hackattack and passwords are compromised and you decide to change everyone's password, AT LEAST HAVE THE COURTESY TO TELL US THAT YOU CHANGED OUR PASSWORD. Send us an email if there's an email address associated with our account. This is a hugely important fact and should be plastered

You know you've hit bottom when you have nothing better to do than spend 5 days clicking across a foreign country on Google Maps.

@FamilyCarGuy: It wasn't all that bad - at least there was tons lens flare!

Michael Bay must have woken up on the Wrong of the Bed when he thought up this title.

E39 M5 Touring... Either the one BMW M built for Gerhard Richter, or the one a mechanic put together himself. The Volvo 850 turbo wagon would be a close second.

Nice concept, but the asking price is indeed ridiculous. The newer wheels are a nice touch though.

00:26 - what is a Zamboni doing on the airstrip?

I can't hear the awesome noise through the terrible recording quality.
