The honoring of the vets is tiresome, but those were Medal of Honor winners. Have you read any of their bios?

Yeah, polling is done in a surprisingly old-school way, but it usually doesn’t matter because the bias in sampling (i.e., those who can afford landlines and cell phones versus the unemployed and those who can’t afford both) usually isn’t strongly related to the given choice.
