I love this - it really is a magical thing to me how people begin to love cars.

I've already argued enough over this, but I think that regular cars are more impressive than supercars.

This may be true!

You seem to be missing my point. Cheaper cars have a far broader spectrum of capabilities. Comparatively speaking I wouldn't say that most supercars are that comfortable or reliable.

Okay, an economy car is a better example then. I was simply using Wranglers are an example because it's what featured in this video.

No, I'm arguing that the capabilities of non-supercars are more impressive than those of supercars.

I don't think a Wrangler is amazing, and I never said a Ferrari isn't.

Hmm yeah, you make a good point. I guess it's just not for me. That Wagoneer though - I want one badly! And to reinforce my previous points - the Wagoneer gives you those feelings whilst being practical, much cheaper, and able to go anywhere!

I'm talking about a JK Unlimited... last time I checked they have a decent trunk, plus the possibilities of racks etc.

I'm sure the Ferrari is a cool experience, and I'd love to drive one. My old Jeep is also an experience that evokes an emotional response though.

I'm pretty sure Jalopnik is the perfect place for me. I'm not bothered by supercars, but love cheap old Jeeps, trucks, Volvos, Subarus and Miatas.

I completely agree with this. That's why I drive a 4.0 Jeep XJ (in the expensive UK!) whilst I'm at university - having something interesting and using it for fun whilst having no money is waaay better than driving a boring econobox!

I get that that's expensive, but why do people obsess over Ferraris so much? When you take the cost into consideration, that Jeep is a much better vehicle.

Who can blame him for wanting to destroy an LR2!?

Chevellecat!?

I've got two. Both scary for different reasons.

It has to be Jeep for me. I was 11 when my Dad and I both fell in love with a 1998 XJ at a dealership. A week later we went to look at it again and a couple of days after that it was sat on the driveway.

I knew this would appear sooner or later. I've had mine for two years now, and other than a couple of idler pulleys, exhaust manifold and a steering pump, it's only required maintenance items (1 wheel bearing, oil and coolant changes, brakes, that's about it).

Okay so I know that, other than the Comanche, this is the only body style these were available with, and that they're not technically station wagons, but these things are such a classic design and somehow just look so right.
