That takes me back to the days when I used to read about the T&E Vertex Soarer that Ueno ran in D1GP. Back when instead of blogs, I regularly read magazines.

If the people up north didn’t have to deal with the cold, it would be most practical to make it the same day as the Superb Owl. The hand egg championship doesn’t matter and that’s just about the best day for driving, in warm sunny Florida, at least. Almost completely empty roads are there for the driving for most of

I’m very glad to hear you made it through that okay. I was joking about the “ruse” thing. Funnily enough, two years after I made that comment, I actually bought a Miata. Still have it today.

I was thinking the same. I’d consider myself close to average, and I’ve felt accomplished just dealing with things like changing seals and resetting timing. A swap, let alone a bizarre swap like this is pretty above and beyond.

Considering the source and that he used the word “manage” along with “we” in the first half of the statement, I think he’s saying they don’t have the R&D ready to make it work. There are already RWD Huracans in Super Trofeo, but no such series exists for the Aventador. That’s just my theory.

Well, from a quick search, it’s about 4x what a regular IS of this generation is going for right now, but it’s also about half of what you’d pay for a real IS F, which only was produced in the slightly less pretty second generation. When you only look at the base car’s cost, it seems like CP but at the same time this

Considering I’ve seen zero of these on the street, I’d say we’re pretty safe. And carelessness transcends price. Just the other day I saw a video of a brand new GT500 launching away from a car show and spinning right into the back of a truck. If it wasn’t brand new, it couldn’t have been any more than maybe two years

I’d still have steel wheels if the car didn’t have 8 year old tires... or was it 6? Too old either way. When I was replacing them, it was not much more to get some much lighter used factory daisy wheels. But looks-wise, I was sad to see them go.

That seems pretty reasonable to me. Heck, if this were closer and had AC, I’d almost consider selling my much newer VW for it. There’s probably much fewer things that can break on a squareback.

You obviously have strong feelings on this to be arguing it for this long, so I’ll leave you alone. I’m only saying that Porsche is the defendant in this case, and consequently their innocence should be presumed until they are proven guilty.

Sure, that’s what happened with GM, but my argument still holds. Until you can prove that Porsche knew something and didn’t act on it, there’s no proof of wrongdoing. Porsche is not GM. A seatbelt is not an ignition switch. I’m sorry, but it’s a different case entirely. Just because some manufacturers lied and caused

Right, but your whole argument rest on “if Porsche knew” which your argument assumes they did. Unless there is evidence of that, the law won’t assume anything. As long as it fulfilled the current safety laws of the time, Porsche is not at fault. Period. End of story. If your argument holds, then there would be tons of

I would think that having just gone through being in a vehicle that hit a tree at 90+mph would be more of a hindrance to getting out of the vehicle than a seatbelt. What I’m saying is that unless they can prove that he was physically capable of opening a seat belt after surviving the crash, not just breathing soot,

I’ve had good luck on door cards and seats by using Woolite diluted with warm water, 5:1. Some have suggested vinegar to me as well, but I hate the smell. Supposedly it completely dissipates, but I hate the smell of vinegar so much that I didn’t want to try it. Besides, Woolite smells nice, whether it dissipates or

These are fantastic. Not sure why someone would consider them ridiculous. My Rabbit has VW symbols in the same location. Other good examples of this are the Ferrari Daytona and Nissan S15 Silvia.

Number 3 would really only be true if it’s a total and complete basket case. My Miata was fairly basket case-like at the beginning, but I let my father in law drive it and he really liked it. Only him, one of my friends, and my wife have driven it, and those all went okay. Nothing damaged by anyone so far.

I had to ride with a friend in his Aveo once. The plastic interior smell reminded me of pickup truck bed liner.

HPS should not make any noise at all. I have them on all 4 corners of my VW Rabbit. I’d consider re-bedding them.

These were the best!
