We don't get the humidity quite as bad in Michigan, but the heat can hit well over 100F during the middle of July. I guess I'm just used to 4/60 AC (4 windows down, 60mph).

I do like Subarus...and Fords, Audis, Dodges, Nissans, Mazdas, Fiats, and Mitsubishis... Subaru is the one that seems to hit closest to my target as far as performance sans extra options goes though.

I was speaking for myself. I fully realize I am the oddball exception to the rule. I like doing things myself, and for how much I love my cars I don't really want them to have a lot of extraneous features. It's my own personal tastes, nothing more.
