Bryan doesn't drive a 1M

Me too, on both accounts. Did you ever use the cheat codes to drive things like an outhouse or the traffic cars? Good times.

Wrong. There are also tons of Priuii now. And an above average amount of Saabs and Honda Insights.

It's impossible for me to push a grocery cart without race car noises and drifting. Always drifting.

People buy those!? That can't be right.

I'm actually getting a vacuum leak fixed as we speak (type?)

I think I lost my affinity for Swedish quirk when I replaced the ignition coils on the V6. The back three coils are just ridiculously hard to get to. Pile on some GM cheapness in just the right places and you have a recipe for frustration.

I'm in the middle of that with my '08 9-3 right now. Average time between mechanic visits has settled to about 4 months. As the value of the car continues to plummet, it's getting hard to shell out any cash to fix the damn thing. But when it works...

My graphics card only whines when playing older games where it can generate 100+ frames per second. If you turn on VSYNC, it will limit the framerate and the whine completely goes away. On newer games even when working hard, there's no whine.

I have an '08 XWD which is 90% similar to the Turbo X and I wouldn't exactly call it an M3 beater. Maybe a 335xi beater, but the M3 is a stretch. In snow and rain, however...

That helped, but why didn't they leave just the intro for her character and do the rest of the episode as herself? It would have been interesting to hear about the different path a "youtube comedian" might have taken versus Seinfeld's career.

Not ideal, but you can use the floor mats as a snow shovel and to get you out of being stuck as well. Worked on the uphill offramp in my rear wheel drive car that got stuck behind idiots who decide to stop halfway up. Just scoop up some snow from in front of the drive wheels and then jam the floor mats under the

Want to know why your car needs a differential and how that differential works? Once again, we turn to the great videos from Chevrolet produced by the Jam Handy Organization back in the 1930s.

Ok, "read the paper" is always good advice. Now I'm just chuckling to myself about quantifying "good feelings."

The title doesn't match the conclusion of the article. Relatable experiences might give more SOCIAL pleasure, but as the article states, that's not the only kind of pleasure.

Huevos Grande!

I like these articles, but the comment section really brings it down. Perhaps you need to add 4 pages of disclaimers at the top for people who were looking for a column about why you should buy a brand new Camry to save money on gas and repairs.

I think you nailed it. Cars like the Fiat 500, Yaris, Fit, and even the Mirage still have lots of modern conveniences that add complexity and cost. Designing and selling something like this could yield just as much new technology as engineering a new Veyron or McLaren.

I have an '08 93 XWD and even though it's been thoroughly GM'd, it's still got tons of personality. Some of it's quirky because Saab, but it all comes together into a package that's unlike anything else I've driven.

Any tips on buying an aftermarket warranty? Seems like a market full of potential scams and ripoffs.
