No Kiss and Just Rey alone would have made ROS so much better. Not good, but better.
I want to say no... but it’s been a long time since we had any kind of decent vampire movie... so maybe yes? Maybe?
The first was like, “I have all these new magical and mystical abilities. I’m gonna use them to punch people.” It just plain wasn’t strange enough for a movie called Doctor Strange.
The good Doctor’s magical fighting abilities were portrayed a 1000x better in Infinity War. So honestly, I think this could be a very good…
I’m right there with you Germain. I’ve been a huge fan of Star Wars since I was toddler in the 70s. The first toy I can remember is a C3PO action figure. I’ve seen every movie in the theaters, and this was the first time I’ve ever left the theater this disappointed after a Star Wars film. While there are lots of small…
Out of all the unanswered questions — which really aren’t that many — the one I really want to know is why did Lady Trieu want that meteorite so badly? Yes, that episode really told us a lot about her character, but it was also a huge setup for something (the meteorite) that never paid off.
I know they aren’t genre shows, but When They See Us and Chernobyl were so next level they have to be called out for how much better they were than pretty much anything else this year. And I LOVED Watchmen and Dark Crystal.
What everyone seems to forget is that even though ESB is beloved now, it was considered a disappointment at the time, and RTJ, as much as it’s shrugged off now, was considered a return to form and even the best of the OT.
In 20 years, TLJ may very well be viewed the same way. Tons of people love the TLJ. They just…
Yep. Han didn’t shoot first.
Han shot only.
It’s kinda crazy that it’s taken this long to get a Lovecraft Cinematic Universe going. It’s right there, gibbering in the corner, waiting for the stars to align . . .
We talk too much bullshit on this movie, so I’m gonna post more bullshit about this moive...
Now that the movie is out and we’ve all seen it can we agree how stupid and needless the moral panic about this pic was?
It wasn’t an apology for incels.
It wasn’t filled with extremely graphic, gratuitous violence. (and average episode of Game of Thrones is far worse.)
It’s not going to incite waves of mass shootings.
It…
This totally this!
Came here for this. Thanks for being “that guy” first.
I felt the same way. Without this scene, we don’t get to see Spidey be his own hero until well into the second half of the film. Which is pretty weak for a solo hero film.
I’m oddly hopeful about this, believe it or not. One of the biggest let downs in the first half of the film is how little super Spidey heroics there are. In the big set pieces with Mysterio, he’s constantly playing second fiddle (for obviously plot technical reasons, but still). We have to wait well into the second…
Or simply do the cinematic version of the beginning of j michael straczynski’s comics run (which was epic and wonderful), which already takes place post-comics ragnarok, and have all of asgard reborn over small town America? And all of the gods’ souls emerge from the human hosts. Or you know, something like that.
Universal, hire this person right now.
I truly hope they use the God Butcher.
100% this.
