This article makes a very good point. I have an Alfa 4C and a Giulia. Alfa provides a plastic license plate mount for both, but to install them you have to screw the plate mounts directly into the front fascia. Not gonna happen for my cars. The solution for me was to buy rather expensive and complicated plate holders

Harbor Freight is the place to buy tools that you only plan to use once. Don’t think I’ll be picking up any jack stands from them though.
