Well, let’s face it, he was elected to do precisely that. The MAGAs aren’t concerned with his public speaking skills as long as he’s “hurting the people he’s supposed to be hurting.”

That was ... astonishingly incoherent, even for Trump. I can’t believe anyone thinks this man has sufficient mental acuity to tie his shoes, much less run a country. 

Well, yes to all that, but that actually wasn’t what I meant. I meant that the longer this impeachment thing goes on, the better our chances of Trump having a rage stroke. The House needs to keep him simmering in a pool of his own anxiety and fear for as long as possible. That’s our best chance of getting rid of him…

I’d say some sort of hallucinations are an absolute certainty. This is not a man firmly rooted in reality. 

Well, it’s early days yet on impeachment, so let’s keep hope alive. 

Or “lock her up.” I think he chants that in his sleep now. I’m not sure he actually remembers who it refers to or why he says it any more. I’m not sure the MAGAs do, either. 

It’s on-brand for Trump. When you’re threatened, send in the lawyers. Of course, his lawyer is Rudy Giuliani, which is roughly comparable to being represented by a rhesus monkey. Both will resort to throwing their shit at the slightest provocation. 

“No, I didn’t work with anybody to try and get dirt on Joe Biden,” Giuliani said.

The hack both did and didn’t occur until its quantum state is fixed by an outside observer, but the observer can’t blow the whistle because that makes the observer both a spy and patriot until that’s confirmed by an impartial hearing, which is both partisan and impartial until it’s confirmed by ...

I’m not sure Rudy even knows how to put his pants on any more. This is just psychotic ranting now. 

I think you’re right. Someone needs to sedate him before he babbles his way into federal prison. Someone who cares, I mean. The rest of us just want to watch.

Well, if past behavior holds true, Trump will start hysteria-tweeting in about 10 minutes, as soon as somebody explains the word “deposition” to him. 

The Trump Effect. Same reason people (at least those who aren’t bribing him) won’t rent his properties. Guilt by association is a bitch, and typically requires you to prove your innocence. Who wants to be part of that? 

And eventually, when it’s just him and Ivanka, he’ll throw her under, too, saying “you’re not all that hot anyway.”

I have this mental image of Trump wandering around in a bathrobe, carrying his stupid iPhone, and wondering why there’s nobody to fetch him a hamberder.

That’s a very strong point and should be called out more. Essentially, previous generations had (largely) guaranteed employment. They didn’t worry (much) about rolling into work and finding out they were fired, downsized, or otherwise eliminated. There was an optimism about the future.

Yes. There’s a reason the term “failson” exists. It happens a LOT. As it turns out, being handed literally everything typically doesn’t teach you how to fend for yourself.
