It is possible to achieve the stated 29mpg highway for the Vette. That car has enough low end power and torque for a low gearing final drive ratio. Hell my current 3 series with its 3.0 liter I6 and a final drive of 3.43 gets better highway gas mileage than my previous 4 cylinder accord with its under powered 150hp
