If you only got through the first episode of the original, you’re missing out on a LOT. That first episode’s writing and dialog is enough to make anyone want to give up, but things start getting much, much darker from ep2 to the end.

I own this, but haven’t played it yet. I think I even bought the whole thing as soon as it was available.

I have almost 1,000 hours in this game.

Same with me. I was so confused and started down the path of reaching out to support to figure out what happened.

I generally hate corporate retail culture, I can say when I worked for Best Buy back in 2004-2007 that we truly tried to embody the company values, and that time period reflects it in the stock prices.

I wasn’t thinking of this in that big of scope, but having fans and protesters basically forcing Blizz to be HK sympathizers through fan art could actually work.... turn the censors on Blizz indirectly. hmm...

When Bethesda and ZeniMax realized the game was almost finished and wasn’t offering loads of microtransactions and lootboxes they freaked out and made id delay it so they can cut up the game and put all the weapons in as lootbox drops.

Upgraded suit physics are something you have to gamble for in the slot machine. Or earn from a loot box.  

Anyone notice that in all the glamour shots in the video everything is very.... static and the panning is nice and slow?

My best buddy and me used to play FlightSim95 four hours when we were kids. Only controlled using the keyboard and not really knowing all the intricate details. We still loved it!

Yeah.... I liked the concept cinematic for this and Deathwire, but no gameplay, no hype.

I’ve tried whitelisting Kotaku a few times. I REALLY want to support this site and writers, but GOD the ads are unreal. They’re so intrusive and spammy they’ve literally broken the site for me. Even on a PC with really high end hardware.

I actually have heard some lines of dialog watching this that I didn’t notice after watching the original a few times. I guess I was distracted by .... the horror.

Maybe.... just maybe... use some of the money you’ve made on psychological manipulation to develop an actual good game.... that people want to play rather than feeling compelled to gamble to progress.

First, the game looks amazing. I will be picking it up eventually.

Steam’s needed competition for a long time.... but this isn’t how I wanted to see it.
