In the hypothetical case that we make drone strikes more functional and precise, it's arguably better for all sides (at least, in terms of lives lost).

I recall watching this on IFC in my teen years. It has a lot of genuinely tense moments, and Dewie (sorry Sullivan, I can only see child-you as Dewie) does a good job at balancing curiosity with terror. I liked it, and got a little scared at parts.
I can't say I'm in favor of drones, but they strike me as marginally better than giving a machine gun to an impoverished teen-ager and saying "put holes in anything that threatens you"

The sense I get is that they're trying to rush through a lot of the shading that King was able to do, to make something that's more immediately emotional and visceral. The novel has a lot of what I think of as "Long Takes", lingering on implications and resonances, which the show understandably chooses to gloss over.
Admittedly, it's not a reference I expected anyone to pick up, I just picked the only band of that sort I could think of (I learned about them in an aside from a comic I can't remember).
Ugh, you've heard every song by Prussian Blue and continue listening to them?
I gotta fukken problem with people who think shipping cartoon Sapphos is the same as playing an active role in progressive society, bruh!

I still remember when my mom get herself a grand piano. The first time I sat down at it, I played B C, and thought, "Shit, you can just do that?!"
Well there's the rub, "Pro-Life" does not, in fact, suggest that you believe a fetus is a person, it suggests that you are in favor of life (more specifically, it suggests the idea that life is itself a moral good which should be pursued).
Gotcha, I misread. Yeah, the Jaws score is the sort of thing that looks pretty ridiculous on sheet, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't among the first things I try out when I pick up a new instrument.
It's a pejorative term for someone who uses the trappings social activism and progressive values to gain status.
That's probably excellent practice. F chords are a bitch for beginners with dumb meaty hands.
I'm operating on the assumption that the director did a bad job on purpose, just the shoddiest, most slapdash production possible, to deny some flippin' honky the paycheck and chance to do it 'well'.
The slow dawning of that laugh is pretty perfect.
It's enjoyably dumb. I don't need a sequel or anything, but I'll watch it if it's on.
Holy fuck this movie got torn UP.

I don't really want an MMO, because the idea of dealing with other people every time I log in disgusts and infuriates me. Being able to share my world with a few people would be fine, though.
