Never ever buy a salvage title car unless you need a parts donor car or are going to build a race car out of it. No matter how cheap you buy it you will have trouble selling it when you are done with it and probably lose a bunch of money on it. I’ll bet anyone a Double-Double at In-N-Out that this is a flood damaged

Clean and low mileage for the vintage California car. Price seem fair enough for 2023 and will make a great parts chaser. NP

Yup. I grew up close by.

Riverside had it all. Road course could be configured different ways. 1/4 or 1/2 mile drag strip. Oval that was 3/8 of a mile I think. I saw pavement sprint cars on it once. Pretty boring compared to watching them on dirt. Speaking of dirt it also hosted Mickey Thompson’s Off-Road World Championships. I raced in it

I really don’t know a lot much about Subarus or care. It seems like too much money for an 18 year old car, but I didn’t check the blue book. One of my car buying rules is buy only California or Southwest cars for the most part. ND

I’ve never been impressed by a Saab so I will be passing on this. Did you guys forget this is a FWD car? ND

I love it for being different, but not $24,000 worth of love. In the late 60s/early 70s I was very much into VWs. I worked at a few SoCal dealerships including Economotors the largest and fanciest VW store on the planet. I then worked for EMPI the makers of all those cool aftermarket VW parts. I had 4 different VW

Cool little car kind of, but a few red flags popped up for me. I live in Northern California and I know how big a PITA bringing in an out of state car can be. It isn’t smogged yet because it probably won’t pass. He really should include a few details of the accident for buyers. Then on the bottom of the ad he added a

What’s not to like about this old truck? It’s a Ford and will be on the road until the doors fall off it. It will for sure get shitty MPG, but it is a big work truck. Like many have said it’s a great tow rig for your race car. I would add a shell on top of the bed though. I could live with the high fuel usage as it

Nope. For 5 large I can buy a real Jeep. ND

British car = instant ND

I agree with most of your choices. But, I bake all of our bread. Heinz ketchup? Come on, Claire that shit has high fructose corn syrup as a main ingredient in it. Since I discovered Portland Organic Ketchup at a McMenamins we don’t eat any other brand. Mayo? I’ve tried your favorites and they are good. If Best Foods

I’ll have to pass on this one. I don’t feel it is a very special car and don’t even like the color. Maybe some super rich collector will want it, but not me. ND

Yes we do and I have had probably 3 dozen or more BMWs in the last 25 years. For a guy like me that does his own work this is a pretty good deal for $3,500. If it isn’t a New Jersey rust bucket, that is. I can flip it to someone in the Sierras that wants AWD

Really easy NP for me if it isn’t a rust bucket. The engine compartment looks OK so I’m guessing it isn’t. It would be perfect for Winter trips up to Tahoe if I liked snow. I don’t. NP

This looks to be an interesting old land yacht. Seems nice, but i would go underneath to look for problems as it’s a midwestern car. If I had room for 12 or 15 cars I might include something like this but I would do a Lincoln. In the real world it’s ND for me.

I’m sure I can do better for the price. Plus, it’s a GM car. ND

In the early and mid 1970s I worked in Torrance, Santa Ana, City of Industry, Corona. The air was so gross you couldn’t see the mountains. I commuted from Hemet where the air was much better, but the daily drive was a ball buster. I was lucky and able to move to Carlsbad where the breeze off the ocean kept the air

This is a stinking Fiat. A Fiat in drag, but still a Fiat. NFD

A car buying rule I live by...... Only buy a salvage title car if it for parts, to build a race car out of, and if it is really fucking dirt cheap. ND.
