That’s more common than you’d think.

Simultaneously no, and yes. No because lighter weight and more powerful. Yes because it’s RWD vs the GTRs AWD.

Ford GT uses different cams, bigger turbos, aluminum intake, a dry sump, and different rotating and timing assemblies, all of which contribute to its “full honk” capabilities. The truck doesn’t have those things.

So...exactly what Lawrence suggested in the article?

The SRT-10 Ram is the obvious, and only choice!

Didn’t Ford just release a super charger kit for the new F150 that bumps the power up to 700hp? I'd go that route

If you want to replace a Viper and F150 Lightning, why not get something that mashes the two together? A RAM SRT10! This one is for sale in Denver for only $28,500, leaving plenty leftover in case a stock V10 isn’t quite enough HP for you.

pair things down”

Well, the GT-R not only makes 70HP less, but is about 340lbs more, while just having 20 more TQ.

If it was 3 tenths faster, sure, I’d agree with you. But it’s THREE FULL SECONDS faster, and that difference will absolutely be seen by even amateur drivers. The power is usable.

This engine is a rowdy player in the scene, and gives the GT500 probably too much power to be any good. The GT350 is probably a cooler car than the GT500, but maybe the GT500's engine is cooler in something that isn’t a GT500? Let’s think about it for a little while.

are you asking him to dance for you? imagine working somewhere where people were constantly coming in all day every day and demanding proof that you’ve expressed disagreement in decisions being made at the executive level

Of course your warranty will be cancelled as a result, so it’s about a wash.

Sorry, folks. That means you’re going to have to install a full roll cage, safety gear, fire extinguishers, and competition seats. You’re not going to be able to claim you’re buying this car to race it only to do nothing but take your kids to school and run errands.

This is very cool. 8k should cover roll cage and seam welding. More rally in North America is always good.

I highly doubt its wider than an f150 raptor and people somehow daily those.

I bet there are a lot of pissed off people that paid through the nose for a first round Bronco right now. Those $10k markups to have the second best version probably hurt pretty bad.

“Bronco Raptor” sounds ridiculous. I can’t wait to see the logo that incorporates these two, wholly dissimilar beasts.

I think we all remember a Mustang Cobra. So, not exactly new for Ford.

At what point in the future will they be under $100K new at the dealer?
