7% is not a lot.

Comments section on Honda posts never fail to disappoint.

Plenty would argue that two - or rather, three - doors are as much a part of the essence of the hot hatch as red trim and skating around corners on three wheels. From the genre’s inception through to the present day, the majority of the most iconic and beloved hot hatches have had three doors, not five.

One of us is.

My sister had a silver version of these, in a coupe, and of course, manual. I was jealous on the look and the performance of these (I had a Civic Wagovan at the time, which in retrospect is cool in a different way), and countered her about a year later when I traded it in for a ‘88 Honda Prelude Si. Anyways, this

I could never get on board with the current gen Type R. It was so jagged and pointy and wingy and louvery and boy-racer to me. The original Type Rs were so clean and simple...it was part of what made them so incredible. They didn’t need all that crazy Batmobile stuff to be good. It was understated and the performance

Oh I way highballed insurance. $300 is what I pay a quarter, but I own my cars outright.

Are there a lot of 23-year-olds making 50-60K with $7500 in savings and a $3500 valued trade in, and who would qualify for 3.34% APR? I work in auto finance, and I can tell you that it’s not very common.

No, I’m not seeing it. The Type R needs to be a 2 door. And there’s no defending that, they didn’t switch to a 4 door because its better for performance. They switched because they wanted to save money on R&D.

This looks way better than the FK8 current model, but still a 4 door so no thanks.

Minor correction - EG actually had a version called Si-R, Si-R II, and Si-R S which is sorta predecessor to Type R.

They should offer that camo as a paint option.

My son rocks an EG Civic that we both adore. It has served him well as his first and only car for the last eight or nine years.

Four door corvette mentality

10/10, absolutely love it. I’ll admit the current one has grown on me, but the overstyled nature is the polar opposite to what made the best Honda products what they are. The 90s-00s cars that everyone loves all had clean, understated styling that aged well and made it so you had to know what you were looking at to

I think it looks closest to the 4th Gen CB Honda Accord.

That Jackson Pollock camouflage is cool... 😎

Because the normal Civic exist. Why does everything need to be practical? In this case practical would be carrying more people, which I respond, why? Have a little 2 door hatch which it still good enough for daily use and buy it for yourself!

Notice the covered up front side fake intakes that are wholly unnecessary and will surely be black with all kinds of fake slats that don’t really function in an attempt to make the car somehow look more menacing.

Even with the sort of Neanderthal forehead above the grill, this car is proof that companies can still design handsome cars. I think it’s going to age really well (even if its not as well as the EG).

boo too many doors
