What trope do you find so offensive that you feel it should be put out of its misery—at least for a while?

I don't know about "offensive", but I'm just tired of the "smart people are robots" trend which you seem to see a lot in tv shows whether it's Big Bang Theory, or Bones, or something, where the smart person totally doesn't understand normal human relations, but not in a believable way, but rather like Data from Star
