If your skin is so thin that you can’t tolerate the existence of people betting against you, or the various restrictions on your behavior imposed by the SEC and by stock exchanges, you shouldn’t be the CEO of a public company. Period.

Maintenance costs, out of warranty, blah blah blah... Look, as with all 5-20 year old performance cars, the maintenance costs are priced in (I mean... have you even seen what a Ferrari 360 goes for these days???). If a C63 of this vintage were as reliable as a Honda Accord it would cost $50k and you’d be happy to pay…
Yup. I didn’t buy mine to be a daily driver, but now that I have it I could totally imagine it in that role (if it didn’t have too many track modifications and if I didn’t need room for a large dog crate :).
A fair price indeed.
Imagine 1,100 horsepower stuffed into a Radical SR1, minus 40 years of aerodynamic and safety improvements. <shivers>

Which part of “Tesla’s big advantage is brand equity” did you not understand?
I’m saying that they spent a lot on a factory to get those advantages you describe, and the cost of financing that factory has to be factored in somewhere. That’s all.
The headline is comparing PACK cost for Tesla against CELL cost for GM
Tesla’s major advantage in building electric cars is its battery tech. It can simply build batteries cheaper than other manufacturers.
Whoops, the ad lied! That’s no manual...
Or you can buy this one with about the same mileage for $4,000 less:
