That’s pretty good etiquette advice for ANY Chinese meal short of a banquet, actually... Nice.
There is already more than enough media pressure on people who use chairs for their stated purpose (to sit) to get up out of those chairs and not sit, thank you very much. Rock climbers can just go right to hell with their sit-shaming.

The most accurate measuring cup for baking is a scale.
Start-on-stove/finish-in-oven is such an effective, easy and broadly applicable cooking technique that it should really be the first thing you try when looking to level-up your cooking game. Pretty much any meat/protein can benefit from this approach, you just have to play with the temperatures and times.
And another note on the tire pressure gauge: this more expensive (and equally well-rated) competing product from TEKTON is a few cents cheaper than the Accutire gauge: https://www.amazon.com/TEKTON-5941-Di…

Note on buying the tire pressure gauge: (for me) the link defaults to a non-Amazon seller. You may have to proactively change the seller to Amazon to receive the discount.

Nope, can’t vouch for anything at that level of detail. I only have about 500 notes, and I haven’t checked everything exhaustively. I use(d) Evernote as an “everything bucket” with minimal organization - just an unstructured archive of stuff I mostly accessed via search. YMMV, use at your own risk, etc.

Oh really? Is that the rule? I guess I hadn’t noticed EVEN THOUGH THAT’S EXACTLY THE REASON THE TOYOTA DIDNT MAKE THE PODIUM.
Thank you for explaining the rules like I am a six year old. I’m saying it’s a bizarre rule if it leads to the car that drove the second furthest over the 24 hour race not ending up on the podium.
One team drove 384 laps but “didn’t finish”. Another drove 372 and “did finish”. The latter takes home a prize. The former becomes a footnote. It’s a bizarre paradox.
The craziest thing is they finished 384 laps and didn’t even make the podium. I won’t say they deserved to win, but they surely deserved to place.
Agreed.
I like this suggestion quite a bit. And I think it’s a good idea if one of the languages is something that really breaks from the common imperative programming concepts people always learn early on (like “for” loops). For me a lot of things clicked when I started using R, which I wouldn’t even count as a “language”...…
Couldn’t agree more. The right answer to “rent or buy” is “it depends.” Do the math, think about your needs, and make the right decision FOR YOU.
Personally you couldn’t have paid me to live in a situation like this when I was 22, let alone now at 40, but for New York those rents are definitely not insane.
Since you’re a writer, perhaps you mean “fewer” people?
