There are a lot unflattering photos of her than not, I’m guessing. It’s the nasty hair extensions and cakey makeup that looks old. Even the picture you posted, I can see those two details.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention how unabashedly left wing the show is. Not saying this makes it good, but the show would often use the cold cases to explore racism, sexism, homophobia, classism, etc.  I feel that’s kind of rare for a cop show.
