I love that it was the Brill Bldg.
I love that it was the Brill Bldg.
Same. It had a “paid by the word” sound to it.
Could anyone say less with more words?
The trailer looks thoroughly un-scary.
Naomi and Gisele were adults. Gigi and Kendall and all seem like they still live with their moms, and have to ask to borrow the car.
I’m watching this old Elizabeth Taylor movie, Butterfield 8. It’s not that great—even Taylor disliked it—but it’s one of my favorite movies, and I watch it every time it comes on TCM. Sometimes you just like what you like.
I won’t (come at you)! I like unpopular opinions. I disagree with cliches like “No actress can play Daisy” and “The Great Gatsby is unfilmable.” This version didn’t work for me, but I’m glad it hit your sweet spot.
Such a devastatingly concise way to describe it.
Upon further reflection, Carey Mulligan didn’t like her performance in The Great Gatsby. Honey, that movie was not your fault.
Also tacky: bragging about being in a 7th rate celebrity’s closet.
My theory: Both Bethenny and Carole clearly vowed to put some distance between themselves this season; their chumminess last year made them too many enemies. So Bethenny made sure to take a “not joining Carole in supporting Hillary” stand, even though she probably voted Dem.
As soon as I read “which is based on her own experience as a cancer patient and the sudden loss of her mother,” I thought “Pass.” I don’t get how she’s not bored with her own material by now.
Exactly. It’s my favorite part of the movie: those two dancing. And also Jerry Orbach being Compassionate Menschy Doctor Dad.
Drifting off point: I wish the whole movie had been Johnny and Penny dancing. Once Penny was out of the picture, the dance story took a dive.
The hair looked wrong—that’s what seemed ’80s to me.
Well, the hair, for sure...
Love!
