The movie as a whole I would be happy to watch if it was on at a party, but I don't think I'd go out of my way to see it again. But the fight scene...probably my favorite scene from any movie I've seen in the last 5 years. It's just so delightfully absurd.

No kidding! One anchor on my local news insists on referring to a transperson who was in the news lately as him/her. I was so angry I had to wait a couple days before writing a formal letter of complaint to the station manager. If I hadn't waited I think there would have been felonies involved.

Even in the first few days I would have very limited use - after my ganglion cyst surgery I was typing within hours. (Probably wasn't supposed to, but...)

According to the neurologist one side is too far gone for anything else and the other side is headed that way. Genetics and too much knitting and typing and being in school I guess.

It shouldn't be too bad; 3-4 days in a cast and then a couple weeks of light duty. I had a ganglion cyst removed from my right wrist a year ago and it was practically nothing. I'll talk to my mom (who's had the surgery twice) and the hand surgeon before I make a final decision.

Aaaaiiieee that hat!

Woo hoo! I get to have carpal tunnel surgery in both hands!

I could watch the bears on mute for hours.

Ha! Kate Beckinsale has the same flip phone I had, except mine's not red. It is a truly useless piece of garbage. Nothing made me happier than the day I switched to a smartphone. But not an iPhone because Apple can blow me.

Upwards of $50? The last BC I was on was over $200 retail, with a $50 copay.

I'm a 2006 grad and I had no choice but to move in order to find work; I figured that out inside of three months. Most of the people I graduated with have since left our college town because there's nothing there. In this economy if you can't find work, are able to move, and are unwilling to, you're delusional.

Hurray, I'm going to be poor forever. Time to start investing in lentils.

I graduated in 2006 and I'm living in Virginia now. Miss it greatly. :-(

My mom, to all outward appearances, is very straight-laced and kind of dowdy. When I was 16ish and college-hunting, we took a road trip to various parts of California and met up with a friend of hers to visit UC Santa Cruz. The night before we went with her friend to get gelato.

Hip hip hooray!

I'm pretty sure the two most important things on my roommate's dog's mind are how to get into the trash and how to get belly rubs. She has not yet figured out that one will not lead to the other in the way she expects.

I wish insulin was available in pill form. Le sigh.

My CSA offers half-shares, so that's what I got. I eat a lot of produce so I figure I'll be ok and also I'll learn how to can stuff. I haven't started yet; my first pick-up is in June. I think it cost me about $350 for 6 months of weekly deliveries; it comes down to about $13 a week. I would totally do a meat thing

I didn't know what a clock spider was, so I looked it up, and now I'm huddled under my bed and crying.

OMG ME NEITHER! We should totally be besties.
