Ok but Woody Allen is a well respected director who is still considered one of the best of his era.

Oh boy you went full “learn to code.”
They went in on Moby yesterday (weirdly mostly on Splinter), but honestly...who actually cares about Moby anymore?
Robert Smith is the Cure Lead Singer
Is it?
I mean true, but it still is a college with an overwhelmingly African American student base, that carries on the traditions of the HBCUs.
Nope.
Boomer (male): I spent the years 1970-1975 engaging in the kind of debauched behavior that would make Passolini puke.
Lockheed: We built a missile that costs $1.2 Million and hits the target 70% of the time. We call it the Annihilator and it’s awesome and we spent $2.5 Trillion on R & D for it.
I mean Russia sells Iran weapons already so not that magically.
It’s almost like analyzing the deficiencies of society...makes you feel the need to become an activist to change those deficiencies!
Oh yeah the guy in the gif is very right, insomuch as he is flipping him off
Or, and hear me out, we live in a broken market society more concerned about exploiting labor for profit than having people who can explain structural issues within that society.
A) You ignore structural issues with the “practical job” argument, but I’ve argued this with you before and know you ignore those. People shouldn’t be commodities having a value placed on them based on if their expertise makes someone money. (PS English majors are a pipeline to legal careers, just letting you know).
I mean it is Morehouse, meaning that though it’s a private college, it’s also one of the primary HBCUs of America with a rich history of offering college education to African Americans in a time when it was not very accessible. So I have to put it in a different category than like...Notre Dame.
So an equally valid academic degree that offers unique insights into the operations of society, that should be adapted into how we govern, interact, and live our lives?
But won’t someone think of my Raytheon stocks?????
True, but in a state of poverty there’s just realities that can’t be planned for, especially in a country where the medical and housing systems are both, shall we say, garbage.
