The NeverTrump wing is weak at best, and won’t go anywhere. The GOP is the party of Trump. Everything he proposed was just the quiet part of the GOP made loud, and once in office he put in the same people the rest of the GOP would have.

This is true. Trust me, I’m far from in the Kamala camp, but it does give me hope to see stuff that ten years ago would have been seen as off the table being brought up by the milquetoast center libs.

I mean both Bernie and Kamala came to her defense, which is substantial, because it indicates they think that in a presidential race, it’s beneficial to take her side.

Well American politics are always overly individual focused. But I think the number of people coming to her defense indicates that the consensus has shifted.

That’s fair, but I think they were all too gunshy to take it on. Just look at AOC, who balked when presented with clearly bad faith anti-semitism claims against both Omar and Corbyn.

While I don’t trust Kamala, I will say it gives me a lot of hope knowing even a relatively centrist candidate like her is pushing more left wing policies like this now.
