NC requires yearly emissions and safety inspections in order to get your new sticker, but cars over a certain age are exempt. Since this is a museum car that probably gets driven pretty rarely I’d imagine it’s not even registered so it wouldn’t matter anyway.

I moved from a state with no safety inspections (Ohio) to a state with safety inspections (NC) about a year ago and it makes no difference. You still get awful cars on the road. In fact I’ve seen much shittier cars on the road here than I did in Ohio.
