You misread. The question is “What’s the more achievable feat” and Drew answers “the serve.”

despite leaning slightly into Prince of Thieves territory

Eh, I use Spotify & Pandora both almost daily for different purposes. Spotify is a dream for streaming any album or curating playlists, but they’ve yet to do radio nearly as well as Pandora.

To be clear, I’m 100% in favor of all women being able to make their own decisions regarding their own bodies. But the reality of legislating is not black & white. Would it be better if abortion was 100% safe, legal and available? Hell yes. But in a super conservative area where a majority wants to ban it

Doesn’t matter cause without Marte for half the season, we’ve got no chance of making the playoffs.

Abortion isn’t a black and white debate, but there are a great many folks who treat it as such and allow no possibility of middle ground. Think of the lawmakers who are trying to outlaw abortion even in cases of rape/incest.* You put enough of those types of people in power — as we are apparently trying to do — and

Did you watch High Castle? What Katherine’s referring to is the visual shock of seeing the familiar juxtaposed with the horrific, like an image of American schoolchildren happily pledging to the Nazi flag. Presumably Handmaid’s Tale will have similar references to pre-Gilead American culture.

Pretty strong list, but how are houseflies worse than horseflies? Horseflies are all of the annoyance of a regular fly, but with a more painful bite.

Hey now, they sell beer in grocery stores these days.

Maybe Tom Petty would be more appropriate?

eta: I see many folks have already beat me to this. Ah well.

Right. “We domesticated dogs” makes it sound like the action was all going in one direction. From what I’ve read/learned, the reality was closer to “two species still getting their shit together formed an alliance.” They benefited from our food scraps, we benefited from their alertness to larger predators.

Everything is a tradeoff, and I for one, believe that zoos as whole, do more for conservation and awareness than they harm.

I thought it was really good dumb fun. I wouldn’t go back and re-read it, but I enjoyed the first read a lot.

No, I’m not saying that, and I find it strange how you keep conflating these two issues unnecessarily.

But okay, let’s look at the travel issue. Again, you’re couching everything in black & white. It doesn’t make sense to say “Ban tourist trips to Paris,” because all motorized travel causes pollution of some form.
