Most of these webcomics rely on observational humor to convey their jokes. The strength of observational humor is that it resonates particularly well with audience members who have had similar experiences and share a similar philosophical outlook with the author or comedian in question.

The guy farming is Anti-mage, who has a blink ability with a really large range and a short cooldown. In this comic he is farming - it's a play on words on both agriculture and the term used in the game for killing lots of minions to get gold and better items.

If you can, pick up a Civ 5 pack with both Expansion packs and give it a shot, it's a really addictive game. Just be prepared to lose your entire day to it. Not voluntarily, but, seriously, ONE MORE TURN

I personally hate how weak and iffy the Hatred generators are, so when you burn through your Hatred with the cool skills (quickly) you have to stand there plonking away with Hungering Arrow or whatever. Vault is tons of fun however.
