This is almost certainly a case of Secret Service orders overriding the Quirks & Features of the Nantucket of Michigan

The obviously biased Liberal media is overlooking our last Vice President’s visit to Mackinac Island when Creepy Joe showed up with his Trans Am.

I think the grounds for the lawsuit are totally specious. Hart’s got money and he probably would’ve been sued regardless, so as Mack says, this will likely just go away with a settlement of some kind.

the Wrangler was designed with a roll cage in mind, meaning they built in additional clearances for heads. taking up interior volumes for a roll cage after market doesnt afford that luxury.

As one of the few Jalopniks reading who has a legit claim to a Mopar equiv to Hart’s awesome Barracuda,

I’d like to see somebody who ISN’T seriously fucked up after flipping a car with that much power in to a ditch.

Welcome to America, and even worse California!

I think the original story still stinks (conflicting reports of who was actually driving, Hart appearing intoxicated and being snuck home before going to the hospital) -- but... This is a lousy thing to be sued for. A heavily modified 50-year old muscle car... Enter at your own risk.

Rollcages are unsafe in road-going cars as they are more likely to cause a traumatic brain injury. They are not designed for use without a certified helmet used in concert with them.

i did a dumb and got hurt and it's everyone's fault but mine!

This is dumb!!!

Edward Niedermeyer Is the quack that has made a career about attacking Tesla Motors and anything Tesla. I remember his hit piece about Electrek connection with Tesla (see link below). I am surprised that Jalopnik would promote this quacks book.

So that’s how they broke the record. Carpool lane.

Simple.

...and what happens when people can’t afford that carbon tax?
e.g. a farmer who actually needs that Ford F-350 that burns gas like an old-timey lamp. Or a family who needs a car just to get them from a to b but can’t afford the upper-echelon hybrid model?

oh man so many spelling errors on here, also there is no way we can hit 54.5mpg by 2025, we can barely hit 40mpg and its pretty much 2020 now

I don’t understand why leasing is such a mystery to most people. Before I leased, I did some research. I read a lot of headlines about how companies charge crazy fees on lease returns. But the vast majority were written by people that returned over mileage leases with significant interior and exterior damage.

how do you figure? i don’t recall seeing 84 month loans 10+ years ago...

payment chasing. probably a millennial.

Letting all that happen for $4k is a really bad idea.
