Their customer base is very traditional in that they want the same car feel they are familiar with. The widespread growth of EV's will go a long way to give the traditional buyer comfort in the technology. As far as Bugatti is concerned, it will be fairly easy to get 1000+hp with a quad motor setup and the big

There you go with feelings, my or your feelings don't matter. The federal government granted a waiver to California and now it doesn't, your inability to directly address the argument lets me know that it went over your head.

Lol! A whole lot of mind reading going on there. You fail to remember California initially threatened to halt all sales of cars that didn’t meet their demands, not anymore. They are reduced to threatening automakers who don't side with California by not buying for fleet sales. No matter how much liberal tears are

Surgery?! Dude get well soon, you are a dying breed...oh wait

Sorry bad take, in a capitalist society the entrepreneur will see the need and fill it at a healthy profit and happy customers will gladly fork over the money for said refurbished cars. Such endeavors already exist, to see the fruits of the labor just go to your local classic car show.

That nose looks like a half open tin can. Ford really dropped the ball with being creative with the headlights and face in general

Videos like this are what keep the dream alive for the heap in my garage

The only thing Tesla has on the Ford is the supercharger network. Going to be very interesting to see how Tesla will respond. Best effort so far by a legacy automaker.

You forgot to mention the Civic missing rear bumper. I see the hoards of battle damaged Mustangs as proof of durability in the hands of novice drivers.

Brilliant! Simply connect the motor(s) directly to an independent rear differential and pile the batteries in the transmission tunnel and under the hood

The entire point is to have the motor sticking out the hood! If anything, it's an opportunity for a cool hood scoop to complete the hot rod look.

Classic Fords from the late 60's would be my go to for a swap, very simple unibodies to cut and box as needed.

Ford and Chevrolet both displayed EV swapped drivetrains at SEMA, so the OEM’s are keen on the interest from the hot rod community. Hopefully they will offer complete kits to help us non-engineers be able to do the task.

Looks a lot more bloated in the regular picture, shouldn't be calling it a mustang.

At this point I’m glad that everyone else is finally building electric cars that are within striking distance of the current Tesla lineup. The problem is that Tesla is already a decade ahead in tech and pulling away, I predict that the model 3 will be at 400+miles range once the BMW finally hits the showroom.

The best reviews on the internet, hands down.

The Ford will blend in with all the other cars on the road. Teslas are instantly recognizable whether you like the styling or not.

I agree with the 10% rule of thumb, it doesn't mean that you have to spend 10% total upfront. If a person can at least save 10% every year to buy a car, then get the $40k car that you saved 4 years at your $100k income. I think the point of the article is to not get yourself into debt needlessly.

Impressed by the 300 mile range at $50k, not impressed by the style and lame marketing ploy. Closest Tesla rival until we see the real world results.

They targeted the Model 3 and got a direct hit on range while costing less.
