If there is a guy sitting at a table with 3 Nazis, there are 4 Nazis at the table. Everyone knows what that phrase means.

And what have the Palestinians done in the last 17 years to rid themselves of the terrorist group that took over Gaza? Oh, right, nothing.

They have to read hamas manifesto, but it won’t align with their believes. Ya let them support hamas.

Good! She deserves it. She continually lies about the only Jewish country in the world which is the size of New Jersey. By the way Gaza hasn’t been occupied since 2005. There are 23 countries that the OFFICIAL religion is Islam and 49 MUSLIM majority countries. There is only 1 Jewish country. Yet the left obsesses

Agreed, but this cracked me up:

it’s the equivalent of passing a law making it illegal to play 7 card stud with bigfoot.

I could see them then following up (if elected) with calls to ban porn in the state/country with “I have verifiable proof that people are mailing explicit sexual content to people without their consent”.

For real. Too many real life stories, creative writing, stuff from last year no one cares about, and whatever this tampon/wallet crap was.

Two short stories - both told to me by the folks it happened to in NYC, and for some reason I found super creepy.

1 - My friend “Mickey” had some time to kill one afternoon so he went into a well known midtown Irish pub for a pint of Guinness (or 2 or 3). As he is leaving the bar, he notices a disheveled older guy

[I heard this story multiple times, directly from the source--I don’t even remember everything about it, but the part I do remains one of the most terrifying things I’ve ever heard, and I will still think of it from time to time and get a little freaked out]

This woman is exhausting and boring AF. Why does the media keep trying to make her happen? I know shamelessness and a lack of conscience is “newsworthy” but isn’t that how America got into so much trouble our democracy is now in trouble?

Didn’t bother reading a single word of this story. Any story this long is complete BS.

I have been reading these for so many years, and re-reading, and I remember a story submitted previously that seems to be from your daughter’s friend’s perspective. I’m not sure if you’ve seen it, and I don’t know how to find it (or what year it was submitted), but it’s literally the same story except from

The Voice from the Water

Summer ‘97. I was nine and scared of my own shadow, so this experience only furthered my fear of the world.

When I was in 3rd grade (about a billion years ago), I went to this little Catholic school in a very blue collar neighborhood. It wasn’t the best area, but it wasn’t the worst, either—narrow streets with dense rows of duplexes, tiny strips of lawn, and a bar on every corner (seriously). Our house was only five blocks

For five or six years, I spent a few weeks every summer at a camp in New Hampshire. Looking back, some of the fondest, most formative experiences of my adolescence occurred there. Summer romances, capture the flag, Fourth of July celebrations. It was all very bucolic.

My prize possession is a childhood photo where I am on a leash, and the dog is not.

Sarah Waters is great. I also liked The Paying Guests (oh, and Fingersmith and Tipping the Velvet). I haven’t read The Night Watch or Affinity. Have you? Would you recommend?

Ohmygod, this post. This post is basically my Top Reading Jams, 1995-2005 (Little Stranger is a later addition and I remember reading it while pregnant with my first, so 2010). I had a lady boner for Edward Rochester before I knew what a lady boner is, and I’d still fuck him if I could, crazy wife in the attic and
