Great point about Dave Ramsey. I generally love his stuff, and listen to his podcast pretty regularly. I have incorporated more and more pieces of his plans into my financial planning/budgeting system and it has been a huge help.

Although I hate credit cards in general, for my 16th birthday my Dad took me to the credit union and opened an account and put $100 in. I never really used the card except for the 1 tank of gas I was allowed to buy a month on it, and books when I went to college. Never really thought about the credit score impact…

This is exactly why my coworker ended up with hers! Since she wanted something out the door for under 25k with AWD, heated seats, ideally a 3rd row, and backup camera (her last car was a Cobalt, so...yeah).
