I mean...the pope is evil. Covering up kiddie rape kind of makes one evil. Nothing theological about that though. And I can’t say I’ve found Catholics to be any more or less evil than anyone else. Though I really don’t get why some people call themselves Catholic if they completely ignore the Church’s dogma on

I just love when they start going on about the “Burning Times”. Don’t get me wrong, the witch hunts and inquisition in Europe were fucking awful, if a very interesting subject to study.

They don’t seem to understand that Satanism (the theistic kind, which is virtually non-existent, not the LeVeyans or the trolls) is an abrahamic faith. You cannot get to theistic Satanism without Yahweh and the Bible.

It’s kind of dippy. But there’s nothing especially bad about any of it, especially compared to a number of other, more powerful religions around the world.

1) Well that’s completely bizarre and kooky.

I don’t agree with the death penalty as public policy. Not because some people don’t deserve to die, but because the risks of wrongful execution, as well the expense of necessary appeals vastly outweigh any possible “benefit” it might have to society.

I’m not sure if Newt ever really had his shit, but if he did, it was lost a long time ago.

In fairness to Pat Robertson, this isn’t even close to the most ignorant or outlandish thing he believes. That guy just doesn’t do The Reality.

Nothing much to do with feminism. Getting all pissy and upset over abortions is just really fucking stupid.

Damn....these ladies are even making the Jill Stein supporters look smart. That takes some work.

Her and Carson really do belong on the same stage though. She’s dumber than shit. And if you get him on any topic that isn’t brain surgery, so is he.

People...still...pay...attention...to...Eminem?

They were really funny in high school.

I really do not understand the outrage over this legal decision. By all means, be pissed off about our gun laws, they totally suck. But this decision appears to be completely reasonable based upon those laws.

So...the branch of government charged with interpreting the law as it is written interpreted the law...

Maybe? I don’t know that I have a good or easy answer to this one. The trouble with a situation like that is that the younger person has to navigate some potentially creepy and exploitative assholes. I wouldn’t say that they’re exceedingly common, but they definitely exist, and a younger person has to figure out

What do you mean, “welcome”? We were here the entire time. All that changed is that we can talk about it without being jailed or murdered.

What exactly is the issue? She think’s it’s a dumb/tacky/ineffective protest. People can think that...it doesn’t make them stupid/evil/racist.

No arguments here. I would have no serious problem with religion if religious people just left the rest of us alone with their kooky ideas. The trouble is, that has never happened. It’s nice that some treat is as a personal thing that they shouldn’t bother others with, but that is very much the exception, and

It’s kind of hilarious that Christians try to claim credit for the entire abolition movement. They’re very quick to forget that their religion was one of the favorite moral justifications for the practice.
