House=\=Senate. Every seat in the House is up for reelection in every election year. And the reason people were speculating that President Clinton would lose so badly in 2018 was because the incumbent president’s party tends to get hammered in the midterms. Dem’s generic ballot advantage average is hovering at around

That still might be story for Senate, but House has had tons of Republican retirements, and lots of pretty good Democrats got into race who no one was talking about two years ago. If we had fair elections in this country, Democrats would take house easily. But we not have that, so it going to be pretty big fight.

I may be an ass, but I don’t spend my life repurposing content into poorly written clickbait.

I work at a public school where national chain pizza delivery is ordered a few times a year to feed the staff and kids at parties. Frozen pizza can be cooked to tase way better than the national chains for the most part.

I think Halle Berry’s Jinx was one of the worst Bond girls in one of the worst films in the series, but a spin-off character isn’t a bad idea. It’s right there in the codename: Bond is the 7th double-O agent in MI6. There could certainly be others.

This is late ‘70s Stones. Keith Richards had to clean his act big time after the arrest in Toronto in February 77, and he ultimately switched from heroin to bourbon. Mick Jagger is too much of a control freak to take coke unless it’s just before a show. Charlie Watts was clean until the 80s, when he developed a

Yeah, I was going to suggest the same thing. You can even buy the three tracks that make up the remake suite “Requiem for a Tower” on iTunes.

I’m fairly certain that the WTF podcast is available worldwide (almost positive I’ve downloaded in the UK). Either go listen to the source interview and see if you feel the same way or don’t comment on it because you’re out of your element, Donnie.

a) That’s not what she said. Like . . . at all.

I don’t think abstinence has anything to do with it. Paedophiles get jobs/positions of authority that will put them in close proximity with their chosen prey, which is why a lot of them are found in the fields of social work, teaching, foster care, etc., none of whom are required to be abstinent. I’m pretty sure a

Curious if you even tried to read the article, since this definitely seems in response to the headline

I don’t see how you can claim that as any objective truth. Lebowski is quite good but didn’t hit me nearly as hard as Rushmore did. I get why it has the staying power it does but for me, nah. Rushmore rocked me on my heels.

I think for people in the “cult,” Lebowski is the greatest movie ever. For the rest of us, it’s entertaining and quotable, to be sure, but no materpiece. I’d personally put a half-dozen other Coens above it. Rushmore, on the other hand, may be in my all-time top ten.

while the meek women working in the fields giggle at the gawking men, perpetuating and affirming the norm.

The implication arguably discourages young women watching the film from believing they can be like her, because they’re told she’s a rare specimen.

It’s like he didn’t even watch the fucking movie!

"There's gonna be two sounds: existential angst landing on your consciousness with an unfathomable weight, you crying out into the void in a doomed attempt at meaning."
