Doesn’t make it better or worse, but I’d say noting in the previous GotG movies give weight or meaning to Quill’s action, it was just lazy writing, which Infinity War had other moments of. Though I think why this bit irks people more than other script shortcuts IW took was this moment was completely needless, it

Neither here nor there, but in the early 2000s I went ebay searching or a copy to gift to a friend who was a Disney completionist. I shopped around and found some foreign VHSs and made the winning bid with the idea that I could pay someone to transfer it to a VHS copy after I bought it, but Disney monitored sales and

I wonder what kind of penalty the show incurred for not filling Orlando Jones’s contract stipulation of having a long rambling monologue randomly inserted somewhere into the episode?

Going to chime in on Community, just to give love to the show’s 6th season (yahoo season), because I think that season doesn’t get the love it deserves:

TNG I’d also give a shout out to probably the only 3 episode run it had of connected episodes, Parts 1 & 2 of Best of Both Worlds, which showed us a fight and enemy like we had never seen before, followed by Family, where we see Picard dealing with the trauma of those episodes, which is another area/idea that had been

I think its just kind of testament to the bubble that money lets you live in, the guy has zero clue what a feckless lucky asshole he is. He’s fugitive and a rapist who has still managed to live a lavish life, have a 40 year career in the public eye, have awards and praise showered on him through all of it, and then

“after being accused of [after having pled guilty to] sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl”

I will say, I have found it odd that the franchise introduced cloning, but never really reckoned with it. Like, this incredible technology was used once, to clone one guy, and that was it? No one ever thought to clone folks of real power and influence like Darth Vader or Obi-Wan? Just, hey, we did it with this random

Its interesting, I just rewatched this and it wasn’t anywhere near as bad as I remembered. I think there are any number of ways it could have been a smarter or more interesting film, but I never found it as lazy or presumptuous as Infinity War was in places, yet I thoroughly enjoyed Infinity War and still do on

Its for fucking, silly.

I can’t imagine the first one would be a necessity to the sequel, not much story to it and no one from the first is coming to the second except Watanabe, who wasn’t really a character in the first movie so much as an exposition spout. ITs a summer movie sequel, so I’m sure they’ll plant all the exposition bits you

While not the best showcase for Morales, Grinder’s cancellation is still an incredible bummer. The show was genuinely great, and it wasn’t some niche comedy like Arrested Development, it was just well done broad comedy and parody, I don’t understand why it didn’t catch on in even a moderate enough way to keep it going.

The script apparently involves Methuselah’s outrageous survival skills, which somehow allowed him to live for nearly 1,000 years without aging”

Ok, but does anyone else have the issue of the shuffling episode order always trying to replay episodes that have already been watched?

Now granted, all I know about jukebox musicals are the two Mamma Mia movies and (for some reason) Escape from Margaritaville, but is it unusual for a jukebox musical to not be centered on the artist of the music? Because from my, as stated, well versed knowledge of the genre, it seems like it might be not that weird.

Really stunned at the CGI monkey. Nothing we haven’t seen in Planet of the Apes movie, but nonetheless seeing this level of photorealism in the character is still super impressive.

I similarly, but also not so similarly, have a memory block on a Q&A with Spike Lee at my college. At one point during the Q&A, some girl got up and asked “can I be the first white girl to give you a hug?” All I remember was all of us groaning, and Spike Lee actually giving her a hug, everything else is just gone,

You bojo! Those shoes don’t work...unless you’ve got POWER!

Love McQuarrie, but saddened to see he’s in line for the next two movies, or what will be 4 movies in a row. The revolving doors of directors getting to put their own stamp on the material is kind of what made the series special.

“I would hope that if I was ever that obliviously insufferable”
