I may have underestimated my affection for that movie, watching Ellen Greene belt out Suddenly Seymour again in the linked youtube video gave me genuine goosebumps.

First four words of the next Gilmore Girls episode:

That's a really stunning summation of the relationships and especially the evolution of Rory as a character/person. I do wonder how much of that is actually intentional choice by the writer, but it does make me appreciate how organic the development of all 3 Gilmore girls has actually been over the course of the show

Edit - blurgh, I got beat to this joke by a whole 2 days…

I guess that's the advantage of a fast paced show, I remember that pool scene leaving a very bad taste in my mouth too (especially as it seemed like the entire reason they go to the pool is to simply lie there and look at/make fun of people? what?) but I had forgotten about it by the end of the episode.

Especially if the gag is just, look how bad this is! Do we need 5 musical numbers to express that one joke?

While I am on Team Cameos are Bad, one was sorely missing…Kiefer Sutherland! What the heck was the point of that whole digression if you weren't going to have him actually pop up?

Frankly I'm always surprised to hear the praise for Elba, between The Wire and The Office he always sounds like a guy affecting an American accent (I wasn't terribly convinced by his Mandela either).

That's what I was trying to recall, I didn't remember him affecting an English accent at all in that film.

So the show is never going to address the flaw of why either time travel team doesn't just send a different crew back in time to accomplish whatever mission the first team wasn't able to accomplish?

Though even that claim depends on if its an emergency exit or just an exit (the theater claimed it was not an emergency exit).

I found it underwhelming, but I remember not being super impressed by the pilot of the 2001 series also, with both versions being weighed down by forcing us to go through an origin story for Arthur. The amazon version, just as the 2001 version, livens up with The Tick on screen, I suspect if this gets picked up, the

For me, Nestor Carbonell as Batmanuel is the best thing to come out of the various Tick-iterations.

Gotta disagree on the filler songs, maybe its cause I was such a sentimental sap as a kid, but the angry rock songs like Local God, Whatever, and Pretty Piece of Flesh were always my skipped tracks. While Angel and You and Me Song were cute tracks that I kind of adored, and revisiting after reading this article still

Eh, I'd rate it more along a C, maybe a C+ I guess, just another bloated summer CGI flick, fine enough way to pass 2 hours, nothing really memorable about it though.

Am I the only one that completely digs Revolutions? I found Reloaded to be, by far, the weakest of the movies. Revolutions on the other hand felt big and exciting to me, and actually carried ideas from the first movie forward (whereas Reloaded felt more like it was a rehash of stuff from the first flick, but clunkier

I have no love for the movie, my opinion pretty much reflects yours.

All you care about is fruit and touching yourself. Well…fuck you!
